Moths are simply beautiful creatures but we dont see them as often as we would like. One way to see more moths is to set up a 'moth trap. Hang a white sheet in your garden and leave a light shining on it overnight. The moths will be attracted and in the morning you'll see them gathered together on the sheet.
Have you ever played the game 'Bats and Moths'? Everybody forms a circle and one person decides to be a bat. They enter the circle and put on a blindfold. Then 3 moths are sent into the circle. The aim of the game is for the bat to catch the moths using echo locatoin. How you ask? The bat walks around calling out 'Bat' as loud as possible, when the moths hear this they call back 'Moths'. The game can be timed and ends when all the moths are captured or the bat runs out of time.
Go for a night walk to the woods and taske a torch. Sit still in the dark for a while they switch on your torch, sit back and relxa as the moths are drawn to the light.
