In a previous story (The Rich Fool) we ended by saying, "forget about getting and instead learn to give", but what if you have nothing to give?
In order to give to others you don't need to have lots of money, there are many other and better ways to give. In this story we meet some little people who spend all their days giving away 'warm fuzzies' and making their kingdom a place of joy and love. But, a grumpy troll sows seeds of doubt about warm fuzzies and the whole kingdom changes.
Following this story consider discussing the following questions as a family:
Warm Fuzzies are little fluffy balls of fun that make people feel cared for and loved- can you think of something else you could give to another to make them feel that way?
The troll tried to give 'cold prickles' to the little people but when they share them it has the opposite effect to 'warm fuzzies'- has anybody ever given, or done anything that makes you feel the way a 'cold prickle' would?
In the end the troll returns to his cave with his cold prickles- I cant help but feel sorry for the troll, could the little people have treated the troll differently in the end?
As a family think of different ways you can share 'warm fuzzies' with others to let them know they are cared for and loved.
