Have you ever wondered where all the leaves go to when they fall from the trees? Millions and millions fall each autumn, why aren't we swimming in an ocean of leaves?
In this story a young leaf finds herself on a journey into the unknown, although inquisitive she is always told to 'trust the process and all will be revealed", little does she know how things will end or where she will finally end up.
After listening to this story consider the following:
1- Take a walk out out into the woods on a leaf safari- there are so many different shapes, sizes and colours. See how many different types you can find, and then see if you can find two identical leaves.
2- In the story little leaf meets a Jay bird, have you ever seen a jay bird? They love monkey nuts and are sure to visit your garden if you buy some and put them out on the lawn- head to the shops and buy a bag of monkey nuts for the Jays.
3- Do you think the story has a sad or happy ending? Why? Discuss this with you parents and explore how the ending may have been different.
Nicely told. But I'm confused. How can a leaf turn into an acorn? Sorry if I'm being silly or missing something!
Hi Susi, not at the moment. We are working on a book and a audio recording too- we'll update through our newsletter as soon as its ready.
is it possible to download the stories in script?
