Story written and told by Danny English
Did you know that in the past the world had only one colour? The colour was grey! All of that was changed when a tiny creature found its courage and its creativity and painted the entire world....well almost the entire world, listen to the story and find out which animal insisted on remaining grey.
When the story is over consider the following:
*The story names eight different species all with a unique colours, how many other spices can you name with their own unique colours?
*While out on your next walk be mindful of your surroundings- how many colours can you spot?
*What are the colours of the rainbow? Can you go out for a walk and identify a different species for each colour of the rainbow? Maybe you can do this in your garden or from your bedroom window?
* Set a timer on your watch or phone for one minute. Find a quiet spot and take a few deep breathes- stare out at your surroundings and see how many different colours you can identify in that 1 minute.
Once you have carried out your activities be sure to post your findings (and pictures) in the comments below.
