The late summer breeze has begun plucking the leaves from the trees and a carpet of green, gold, red and brown has started to cover the woodland floor.
Getting to know your leaves is a great way learn more about trees and it can help you begin to understand more about their properties too.
In this resource we gather leaves and use clay to make leaf prints.
This resource is good for your wellbeing because:
1- Get Active: Go for a walk to your local park and woodland to collect your leaves.
2- Keep Learning- Find as many leaves as you can, if you don't know what type they are look them up with our leaf guide.
3- Think Community- After making them invite friends and family to come on an adventure with you and try to match your prints to the correct trees.
4- Practice Kindness- Offer one of your prints as a gift to a neighbour or a friend.
5- Be Mindful- Really 'get to know your leaves' study the different shapes, how they feel and how they smell. Try and predict which one will make the most effective print.
