Folklore and legend tells that we shouldn't pick blackberries after Sept 29th as they are cursed by the devil who landed in a blackberry bush when banished to hell, folklore often brings us the most interesting tales.
It is also suggested that when people lived closer to the land Sept 29th was the date they stopped their harvest of berries and turned to preparing for winter.
Either way- the blackberries shouldn't go to waste and although they are a good source of food for our feathered and furred friends we can take a handful to create some beautiful nature art.
In this short film we show you how to make natural paints using foraged berries and then use that pain to make some lovely nature art or a leaf I.D board.
