Pineapple Weed (also known as Wild Chamomile) is a common plant that grows on disturbed ground, it loves cobbled pathways and footpaths.
When the flowers are rubbed between fingers (bruised) it has the exotic scent of pineapples, but when used as a herbal remedy it has all the medicinal properties of chamomile.
Abundant across the UK and often overlooked this is an easy flower to identify and well worth getting to know more deeply.
In this video we teach how to make Pineapple Jelly- a sweet delicious floral treat to go on toast or as a sweetener in a cup of tea.
Please remember to identify your plants carefully- Pineapple Weed is easily identifiably by the conical flowers that smell of pineapples when rubbed. Enjoy and have fun!
