Ho ho ho!!!!
We are remaining with the festive spirit for this resource and teaching you how to take some simple resources and make lovely standing wooden Santa decorations.
This is a really accessible activity for children of all ages and the results are really lovely.
Join the fun, make a Santa and have it adorn your windowsill or table this Christmas.
This activity is great fun but it's also great for your wellbeing too:
1) Get Active - As you saw in the short film, we had to venture out into the woods to collect our stick- woodlands are linked to positive wellbeing so taking a stroll through the trees is sure to boost your mood.
2) Keep Learning - There are opportunities for learning throughout this- tool use, painting, and sticking can be accessible to children of a variety of ages.
3) Practice Kindness- When we searched for our sticks we also left some nuts and seeds out for the birds and squirrels.
4)- Be Mindful- Painting is a very mindful activity and can help you distress and focus on the present moment boosting your wellbeing.
5) Think Community - A Santa statue left on a neighbours doorstep beside their milk is a great way to build community.
