The leaves are turning from green to red, golds and yellows, the sun is low in the sky and our favourite oak tree is bursting with acorns.
In this short film we teach you a really simple and fun nature game that can be played at this time of year.
Grab your coat and wellies, this activity includes collecting sticks, climbing trees and some strategising.
This resource is good for your wellbeing for the following reasons:
1- Get Active: Go for a walk to your local woodland to collect your sticks and acorns.
2- Keep Learning- You can use other nuts, conkers and beech nuts work well. Find as many nuts as you can, if you don't know what type they are look them up in a tree guide.
3- Think Community- This is a great activity to play with friends and family- anybody for a street tournament?
4- Practice Kindness- It's okay to secretly boost somebody else's self esteem by placing an acorn in the worng place :)
5- Be Mindful- Really 'get to know the different nuts that you collect, study the different shapes, how they feel and how they smell.
