Before you begin this session please read and listen to our Introduction to Yoga with We Be Kids.
The transformational Life Cycle of the Butterfly is one that we hold dear and we saw our very first one outside in the sunshine today. Practicing yoga benefits both your physical body and the mind through the movements, breathing and gentle relaxing guided meditations at the end. This time spent with yoga, practiced with kindness, is proven to improve mood and your sense of wellbeing.
Whilst using this gentle yoga resource to inspire learning, know you are helping you and your family's wellbeing like this:
Get Active - Gentle yoga may not be running a marathon but regular practice will reap many benefits to the physical and mental bodies.
Keep Learning -Science- Look up the life cycle of a butterfly; or Art - Colours, textures & emotions, create your own butterfly wings or images of butterflies with whichever resources you have to hand when in an outdoor environment.
Be Mindful- Use this theme to approach discussions about the changes we go through in life as we grow up and change;
Practice Kindness- In yoga only ever practice with kindness to yourself - EVERY practice is different and our bodies will feel the postures differently every time. Yoga should never hurt. Look after yourself - there is only one of you. Think Community - We look forward to seeing your responses and beautiful works of art in the comments below.
